The United Way works to fulfill needs in our community that fall into 3 categories: Basic Needs, Health, and Education. As a part of their desire to promote educational opportunities in West Central Minnesota, each summer they partner with community organizations and businesses during the STUFF THE BUS campaign to collect donations. These donations will support the learners of the 17 schools in our community including: ACGC, Benson, Bold, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, Central Minnesota Christian Schools, Community Christian Schools, Dream Technical Academy, Kandiyohi Academy, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, Litchfield, MACCRAY, New London-Spicer, Renville County West, School of St. Philip, St. Mary’s School, and Willmar.
The Lake Lillian Public Library is a donation drop off location. Bring in your donations of school supplies like glue, scissors, calculators, notebooks, socks, markers, colored pencils, binders and more to our collection box.
